SERVICES
GARDEN SURVEYING
Knowledge of your garden above and below ground is essential when selecting new plants and caring for old favourites. We offer a one-off survey that will identify soil type and drainage, measure top soil depth and acidity and assess local climate conditions. After the survey is drawn up and returned you can continue to develop your garden independently or alongside
Oak & Earth.
LANDSCAPING
Our imaginative planting schemes are designed not only for visual pleasure, but also to complement your lifestyle. Decking, fencing, pergolas and patios are just some of the features we can install. A garden can be transformed with a smart path or a new permanent seating area and often a fresh eye can see relatively inexpensive ways of making big improvements.
PROGRESSION & DESIGN
With a creative eye and expert knowledge of local conditions we will help you achieve your perfect garden. We’ll enable you to optimise space if you have a small garden and help you manage and maintain a larger one. Progression is important when working with constantly evolving spaces. We will work effectively with your space incorporating your ideas and dreams.
MAINTENANCE
Working alongside you we ensure the land surrounding your property is kept looking its best.
We care for shrub and perennial borders, trees and lawns and maintain boundaries, walls and hedges. We can keep on top of weeds, plant up pots or vegetable patches and complete garden clearance projects. We can tend your land weekly, monthly or seasonally, depending on your budget.

Alex King-Sorrell, founder of Oak & Earth, has a passion for nature, the ocean and sustainable living. Gardening has become a part of everyday life for Alex and his family; he, partner Cathryn and their children, grow vegetables and care for plants at their South Hams home. Alex says: “Country living promotes a healthy and happy lifestyle and, for me, gardening is more than a job, it is a route to wellbeing and a rewarding way of life." At Oak & Earth we want to create a place for people to find inspiration and confidence, we would like to work alongside you evolving ideas and sharing dreams.
